The 2000 Open Championship major golf championship and the 129th Open Championship, held from 20 to 23 July at the Old Course in St Andrews, Scotland

The 2000 Open Championship, also known as the British Open, was one of the most memorable in golf history, not just because of the significance of the tournament but because of the dominance of Tiger Woods.
The victory in 2000 marked the third leg of Tiger Woods' career Grand Slam. By winning The Open, Woods had now won every major championship at least once in his career. This was a significant milestone in his career and a symbol of his ability to win on every type of course and in all conditions.
